Yves Mirabaud was born in Paris, France, on April 1, 1948. His family’s perfume business had been passed down from generation to generation for over five centuries. At 16, Yves began working at the company that bore his family name: Mirabaud Perfumes. He worked there for three years before taking a position at L’Occitane en Provence in 1971. In 1973, he opened his own boutique at 26 rue de Rivoli and named it “La Maison de l’Eau.”

Yves Mirabaud has created some of the most famous and well-known perfumes globally. He is a member of the International Perfumers’ Association and has won numerous awards. Mirabaud has also been named the “International Perfume Designer of the Year” by the British Society of Perfume Chemists in 1999 and was awarded France’s highest honor, “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur”.
